NEW + YORK [D&D BUILDING]

NEW + YORK [D&D BUILDING]
July 21th, 2015

Hello all! Today's blog is more insight into our New York trip we discussed last week! One of our most exciting + exhausting days was spent at the Decoration & Design Building. With 18 floors of spectacular showrooms, we left full of knowledge & inspiration! Here are just a few of the fabulous showrooms we visited.

Our first stop was to John Rosselli & Associates, which didn't disappoint. This showroom carries smaller 'boutique like' lines & products that we are not exposed to here in Minneapolis. We ended up discovering quite a few great new fabrics & wallpapers for upcoming projects.

The Brunschwig & Fils showroom was absolutely incredible. Having such a large space to display a majority of their fabrics, wallpapers, & furniture is something you don't see often. So we of course took full advantage of testing out the comfortableness of furniture pieces for upcoming projects!

One of our 'go-to' fabric & wallpaper lines for anything colorful is Thibaut. Their cheerful entrance captured us right away!

Another showroom we always look forward to visiting is Quadrille. Their bright & vibrant fabrics + wallpapers just scream Robert Sidenberg! Another thing we [LOVED] about New York is how dog friendly the city is; dogs were welcome anywhere & everywhere!

Last, but not least, is the Schumacher showroom. We're lucky enough to have Schumacher represented here in Minneapolis, but it's always great seeing how other city's design centers interrupt the same company in their own way.

Stay tuned to see more New York loving!

NEW + YORK [WORK TRIP]

NEW + YORK [WORK TRIP]
July 16th, 2015

Good morning readers! Our blog today + the next couple blogs will be dedicated to our wonderful trip to New York we took back in May. We've been so busy lately I haven't had time until now to finally blog about our fun & inspiring whirlwind of a trip! We attended the ICFF Conference, visited the D&D Building, ABC Home & Carpet, and much more. While also managing to feast upon delicious food, of course!

ABC Home & Carpet is a one stop shop for anything, and everything. With five floors dedicated to home furnishings, accessories, bedding, lighting and rugs, you will leave speechless and your pocketbook a little lighter!

We also spent a day walking the streets discovering lovely little shops like this gem, Homenature.

And we of course had to do a little shopping! When in New York, right?

If you're a Sex in the City fan, you know a trip to New York is not complete without a stop at the famous Magnolia Bakery. Just thinking about their amazing baked goods makes my mouth water!

Stay tuned to see more of our exciting trip to New York + all of the new products and companies we discovered!

HOLIDAY + INSPIRED [4TH OF JULY]

HOLIDAY + INSPIRED  [4TH OF JULY]
July 1st, 2015

How is it already the week of the 4th? Summer is flying by! But since it's already here, we might as well embrace it with a blog dedicated to everything patriotic. Surely this time of year is filled with everything red and blue, but this color combination is fabulous all year round too. Check out some of these festive interiors that would bring cheer to any home!

Painted cabinets are on the rage these days, especially all white cabinetry. But how great are these all white kitchens with pops of color? It's cheerful, vibrant, and completely unexpected - making these rooms truly unique.

With dark blue walls and a tufted red leather sofa who wouldn't want to relax with a good book in this masculine den?

How adorable is this bunk room? Crisp white walls & woodwork make for a great background to everything patriotic. Perfect for all ages!

This playful, color-filled little boy's room is a great example of how a good design can be timeless. This bedroom is energetic and fun now as the child is young, but will be able to easily transition into a great teenagers room as the boy gets older.

And of course here in Minnesota we take advantage of our (barely) three months of summer. Adding personality to your outside space through furniture, pillows, & accessories can help transform an outdoor living area to an extension of your home.

If you're like me, you'll be spending the majority of your weekend outside soaking up the sun (granted mother nature cooperates!) Adding creativity to your outdoor eating experience can be fun & easy with all of the readily available fun red, white, & blue accessories you can find everywhere these days. Adding flowers, flags, or festive containers to any tablescape will leave your guests thinking you took this years backyard barbeque to a whole new level.

From all of us here at Robert Sidenberg Inc, have a happy & safe fourth of July!

PROJECT + REVEAL [EDINA]

PROJECT + REVEAL [EDINA]
June 17th, 2015

Hello all! On today's blog we are sharing a new construction home that was recently completed. With the final details in place, we spent some time last week getting the home photographed (images soon to be on our website!) But anxious us decided to share some pictures now from our trusty iPhones (what would we do without them?!) Take a peak at this beautiful "Hampton" inspired home.

This light, bight, and airy home is such a relaxing environment. Keeping the majority of the house in neutral beige tones, blue and green accents throughout the rooms create a soft & inviting space for the whole family.

How great is this printed grass cloth wallpaper in the entry? And of course this adorable custom dear head coat hanger is too cute for words!

It's easy to see how this porch with wrap-around windows quickly became one of the clients favorite spots to relax. Perfect for all of our unpredictable Minnesota weather!

Such a warm & cozy home office!

Light and airy bedrooms with tone on tone furnishings make for soothing sleeping spaces.

Last, but certainly not least, the master bath & bedroom. Simply elegant!

Stay tuned for more project reveals & updates!

PROJECT + REVEAL [COUNTRY CLUB]

PROJECT + REVEAL [COUNTRY CLUB]
June 8th, 2015

Hello readers, I am very excited to share with you today a living room & entryway project at a country club we just finished installing! Being such a sophisticated space we wanted to keep the elegance of the room by using some of the beautiful existing traditional pieces, while also incorporating modern elements to update the space. With no natural light in the living room, focusing on creating a light and airy room was key. With a multitude of light green & blue hues we created a fresh & timeless design that will be great for many years to come.

With fresh paint, custom rugs, newly upholstered furniture & updated lighting this space is transformed into a fresh new interior we had hoped for!

With new wallpaper, bench fabric, and plantation shutters this entry into the club is now a vibrant and welcoming space for all!

We couldn't be more excited with the outcome! Stay tuned to see more pictures of upcoming projects.

TIPS + TRENDS [WE'VE GOT THE BLUES]

TIPS + TRENDS [WE'VE GOT THE BLUES]
April 15th, 2015

I don't know about you, but lately I have been obsessed with all things blue [my purse & pants are both blue today!] If you open up any magazine or walk into a department store you are bound to see a trend of blue and white everything. With such a classic and crisp feel, what's not to love! Check out some of our favorite blue products we have been in love with lately, starting with this adorable Border Frame Duvet & Bedding from Serena & Lily.

These Chevron Riviera Side Chairs & Riveria Bar Stools, also from Serena & Lily, may be a hands down favorite in my book. The woven blue & white plastic material creates a unique, durable, and stylish chair for any interior. I'll take four for my place right now, please!

How great is this uniquely shaped Westport Coffee Table from Oomph? We just used this blue table in a project and let me tell you its a show stopper! Its unique shape, lacquered blue finish, & natural raffia top will be a focal point in any room.

One of the newest products we recently discovered are these fabulous Hand Painted Brushstroke Lamps from Jana Bek Design! With an array of colors to choose from, these lamps are simply divine. We just placed our first order with them last week for a project and the lamps are due to arrive tomorrow; needless to say I'll be waiting by the door for their appearance!

Have you seen an abundance of Blue & White Pottery everywhere you go like I have lately too? Their increasing popularity is no surprise with its timeless & classic look. Get these pieces & more at William & Sonoma.

Oomph has done it again, these blue Charleston & Easton mirrors have me dreaming up a place to put them in my home right now! Their creatively designed shapes would dress up any wall & add visual interest with such a stunning, bold color.

Which blue product would you love to incorporate into your home?
